About The Position
ProVest is seeking a Civil Process Server in Tioga County, New York, to serve legal documents and support legal processes. This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity. Contractors manage their own schedules and work remotely, completing assignments across Tioga County. The role requires accurate, professional service, documentation of service attempts, and timely filing and recording of documents.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the local area and court system.
- A dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, and active insurance.
- Access to a computer or laptop, printer, scanner, smartphone, and internet.
- A clean background and commitment to professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Serve legal documents accurately, promptly, and in compliance with applicable requirements.
- Capture proof of service attempts using mobile technology.
- Complete proofs of service using secure software tools.
- File and record documents with courts and agencies.
- Communicate clearly and meet court deadlines.
