About The Position

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for US-based senior paralegals and accredited representatives with substantial experience in civil legal procedures, legal-services workflows, documentation review, and practical support across housing, family, consumer debt, and bankruptcy matters. This role supports an AI research initiative focused on improving the procedural accuracy and practical usefulness of AI-generated civil legal guidance. Selected professionals will review legal workflows, identify filing and documentation errors, assess missing procedural steps, and provide structured feedback grounded in real-world legal support experience.

Requirements

  • Significant professional experience as a senior paralegal, accredited representative, legal-services specialist, or comparable legal support professional
  • Strong knowledge of civil legal procedures and documentation requirements
  • Experience supporting housing, family, consumer, debt, bankruptcy, or related matters
  • Ability to identify filing errors, missing procedural steps, and incomplete documentation
  • Excellent written communication and strong attention to detail
  • Experience working independently across complex legal-support workflows
  • Current residence in the United States
  • A paralegal certificate, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent legal-support qualification is highly relevant
  • Accredited representative status or recognised professional legal-services training may also be considered
  • Continuing education in civil procedure, housing law, family law, consumer law, or bankruptcy may be valuable
  • Equivalent senior-level experience in legal aid, nonprofit legal services, or civil practice may also qualify

  • Experience within a legal aid organisation, nonprofit legal-services provider, community legal clinic, or public-interest programme
  • Familiarity with jurisdiction-specific court forms and filing procedures
  • Experience supporting underserved or low-income populations
  • Background in client intake, document preparation, case tracking, or court-process support
  • Experience mentoring junior paralegals, accredited representatives, or legal support staff
  • Familiarity with legal technology, AI-generated legal content, or structured legal evaluation
  • Previous involvement in quality assurance, guideline development, or legal workflow review

Responsibilities

  • Review AI-generated guidance involving common civil legal-services matters
  • Assess whether procedural information is accurate, complete, and practically useful
  • Identify incorrect instructions, missing qualifications, and unclear explanations
  • Evaluate whether guidance reflects realistic legal-support workflows
  • Review filing requirements, notices, deadlines, forms, supporting documents, and procedural sequences
  • Identify omitted steps, incorrect filing instructions, and documentation gaps
  • Assess whether proposed workflows follow logical and legally appropriate processes
  • Consider jurisdiction-specific differences where relevant to the scenario
  • Evaluate housing, family, consumer debt, bankruptcy, and related civil legal matters
  • Review scenarios involving intake, document preparation, court filings, service, hearings, and follow-up
  • Identify practical barriers that may affect clients navigating civil legal systems
  • Assess whether guidance is accessible and understandable for real-world users
  • Provide clear written evaluations explaining procedural strengths and weaknesses
  • Recommend specific improvements to legal guidance and supporting documentation
  • Apply consistent review standards across varied civil legal scenarios
  • Collaborate with legal and research specialists to improve evaluation criteria and reference materials
