Civil Land Development Project Manager
About The Position
LaBella is seeking a Project Manager in Civil Engineering for their Land Development Group. This role will independently manage Land Development Civil Engineering projects from start to finish, leading a team of junior engineers. Responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of Civil Engineering Site Plans from conceptual design through construction documents, and preparing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans. The role also involves client interaction, meeting attendance, mentorship of junior staff, proposal preparation, coordination with other engineering disciplines and architects, public presentations, and project invoicing.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience with demonstrated success in a professional consulting environment.
- Strong Land Development Design experience including preparation of Site/Grading/Utility Plans, Construction Details, and Conceptual Layout plans.
- Stormwater Design experience including preparation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
- Experience obtaining agency approvals.
- Experience in project management.
- Ability to effectively manage project budgets and workload by delegating to junior staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with clients, project teams, colleagues, and outside agencies.
- Ability to collaborate efficiently with teammates in different disciplines and in different locations.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to make decisions by weighing different factors from multiple points of view.
Nice To Haves
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged.
- AutoCAD and HydroCAD experience is preferred.
- Construction administration experience is preferred.
