About The Position

Launch your career with RS&H as a Civil Field Engineering Inspection Intern. Join our Transportation Construction Management team in the Panama City and Tallahassee, Florida areas for Summer of 2027. As a Civil Field Engineering Inspection intern, you will collaborate with and be mentored by top engineering associates on our team while gaining hands-on experience and a better understanding of the Transportation Construction Management profession. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be a team player, and be enthusiastic, motivated, honest, and dependable.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related program at an ABET-accredited university
• Ability to work independently with general supervision as well as within a collaborative team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Good driving record with a valid driver’s license
• Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist, or stoop frequently and for prolonged periods, under various outside conditions
• Ability to reach horizontally as well as vertically for required tasks
• Ability to use construction or inspection safety equipment, including fall protection
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and shake up to 20 pounds

Responsibilities

• Support inspection teams with field inspections
• Verify the dimensions of prepared and completed work
• Collect and prepare data for evaluation
• Perform engineering with the use of computer-assisted engineering software and equipment
• Prepare reports for site operations activities, including materials used and completed work
• Provide support to engineering and project management associates
