About The Position

As a Civil Engineering Intern with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in its Houston, Texas office, you will support project teams in the Solid Waste Practice. Work includes landfill design, construction quality assurance, and permitting. You will use computer-aided drafting (CAD) software, develop calculation packages, and research regulations to support the permitting and design of waste facilities for major waste clients in Texas. Through CEC’s Internship Program, you will gain practical experience applying college coursework, learn from industry experts, and collaborate with teams across functional groups and locations. You will build a professional network through social events and interactive activities, work closely with a mentor in your discipline on real-world challenges, and participate in workshops that foster interpersonal skills and help prepare students for full-time careers.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Civil or Environmental Engineering program.
AutoCAD experience.
Must be legally authorized to work for CEC in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Prior internship experience and/or related survey experience.
Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities
