Civil Engineering Internship - Substation and Power Generation
About The Position
As a summer 2027 engineering student intern with Olsson's Substation and Power Generation (Power Delivery) Team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. Depending on your area of interest you could learn things like: CAD design processes and standards, Physical arrangement and protection for medium voltage >1kV, High voltage >69,000V, and Extra high voltage >230kV systems, Substation Structure and Foundation design, Interpreting geotechnical information, Equipment mounting, basic steel member analysis, basic steel node analysis, Basic foundation design principles and analysis.
Requirements

- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Strong problem-solving and math skills
