About The Position

As a summer 2027 engineering student intern with Olsson's Substation and Power Generation (Power Delivery) Team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. Depending on your area of interest you could learn things like: CAD design processes and standards Physical arrangement and protection for medium voltage >1kV, High voltage >69,000V, and Extra high voltage >230kV systems. Substation Structure and Foundation design Interpreting geotechnical information Equipment mounting, basic steel member analysis, basic steel node analysis Basic foundation design principles and analysis

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and math skills
