About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Nashville, TN office. This role involves assisting engineers with the design and development of civil aviation infrastructure projects. Interns will prepare and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or other design software, perform basic engineering calculations for grading, drainage, utilities, runways, taxiways, or site development projects, and assist with quantity takeoffs, material estimates, cost calculations, reviewing contractor submittments, and requests for information (RFI). The position also includes reviewing survey data, maps, and project specifications, assisting in preparing technical reports, permit applications, and construction documents, researching applicable codes, regulations, and design standards, and participating in project meetings and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
