About The Position

KPFF is seeking motivated students to join their 2026 Summer Internship Program in Portland, OR. Internships run from May to August or June to September, accommodating school schedules. This is a hands-on opportunity to experience working within a civil engineering team, utilizing Civil 3D with guidance from experienced professionals. Interns will engage in design, plan creation, research, and site visits. The program includes an Intern Training Program, KPFF-U learning sessions, and vendor lunch-and-learns. The office operates on a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in the office and up to 2 remote days, or the option to be in the office daily after onboarding.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program at the junior or senior level, focusing on civil engineering
• Available for the full 3-month internship
• Able to work full-time (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work well both independently and in a team
• Organized and good at managing time

Responsibilities

• Design using Civil 3D
• Create plans
• Conduct research
• Participate in site visits
• Attend Intern Training Program
• Attend KPFF-U learning sessions
• Join vendor lunch-and-learns
