About The Position

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Orange, California. This position is expected to begin in June 2026. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Requirements

Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field and must have completed at least two years.
Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Capable of using a spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software.
The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Positive attitude and strong initiative to learn and excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, ArcMap, or other engineering software packages.
