About The Position

Delve Underground is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join their Seattle office. This role will support the technical design team with various office and field assignments. The intern will focus on geotechnical or structural engineering analyses, development of drawings and specifications, research, calculations, project coordination, organizational tasks, and technical memoranda for heavy civil projects. Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled college student working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or similar program.
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or experience in structural or geotechnical engineering preferred.
  • AutoCAD experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare design calculations under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Assist with the preparation of planning and design technical reports.
  • Review and evaluate instrumentation and monitoring data.
  • Assist with construction site inspections and daily reporting.
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining contract drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Assist in reviewing construction submittments and requests for information.
  • Communicate effectively with other designer and construction management staff.
  • Work on a variety of office and field assignments.
