About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to work with its group in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The position is expected to begin in Summer 2027 and is designed to provide hands-on skills beyond those gained in an academic setting, supporting the transition from student to professional. Interns receive duties intended to provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience in their field of study. Intern III status corresponds to completion of the third year of qualified study. The role is onsite. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and have completed at least one year of study.
• Applicants who recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree may apply if they plan to continue toward a Master’s degree; they must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s program during the most recent school term and intend to pursue an advanced degree in the same or a similar discipline after the internship.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
• Intern III status corresponds to completion of the third year of qualified study.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in transportation engineering is preferred but not required.
