About The Position

KPFF is seeking motivated students to join their 2027 Summer Internship Program in Eugene, OR. This paid internship offers a hands-on experience in civil engineering, allowing interns to work on real projects alongside experienced professionals. The program runs from May to August or June to September, accommodating school schedules. Interns will utilize Civil 3D, participate in design, plan creation, research, and site visits. The program also includes an Intern Training Program, KPFF-U learning sessions, and vendor lunch-and-learns. The office operates on a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in the office and up to 2 days remote, or the option to be in the office full-time.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program at the junior or senior level, focusing on civil engineering
• Available for the full 3-month internship
• Able to work full-time (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work well both independently and in a team
• Organized and good at managing time

Responsibilities

• Design projects
• Create plans
• Conduct research
• Participate in site visits
• Utilize Civil 3D
• Collaborate with PE's, EIT's, and Civil Designers
• Participate in Intern Training Program
• Attend KPFF-U learning sessions
• Attend vendor lunch-and-learns
