Summer 2027 Intern - Civil Engineering (Aviation)

Exceptional interns may be offered full-time positions upon completion of the internship.
Requirements
- Currently a matriculated undergraduate OR matriculated graduate student
- Pursuing a relevant course of study (Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, etc.)
- Available for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or another related field. Completion of sophomore year preferred.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous internship experience or involvement in a related student association a plus.
Responsibilities
- Creating exhibits/working on plans in AutoCAD
- Creating real life quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for projects
- Reviewing project specifications and understanding FAA rules and regulations for airport projects
- Learning about funding sources for airport projects
- Airport site visits/possible construction inspection (with supervision)
- Collaborating with engineers on real projects
