About The Position

This internship program offers college students hands-on experience applying their technical studies and learning the ins and outs of the A/E industry. Interns take on meaningful projects that complement their academic work, helping them transition smoothly from student to professional. As an intern on our Aviation team, you will play a key role in supporting projects and collaborating with team members. Our internship program offers the chance to connect with leadership, work closely with mentors, and grow both professionally and technically. Exceptional interns may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time role after the internship, launching their career with us and continuing to grow within C&S.

Requirements

Currently a matriculated undergraduate OR matriculated graduate student
Pursuing a relevant course of study (Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, etc.)
Available for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or another related field. Completion of sophomore year preferred.
Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

A go getter looking for a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in Aviation Civil Engineering
Previous internship experience or involvement in a related student association a plus.

Responsibilities

Creating exhibits/working on plans in AutoCAD
Creating real life quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for projects
Reviewing project specifications and understanding FAA rules and regulations for airport projects
Learning about funding sources for airport projects
Airport site visits/possible construction inspection (with supervision)
Collaborating with engineers on real projects
