About The Position

T&M Associates is seeking a seasoned and client-focused Civil Engineer for their NJ Community and Land Development (CLD) Market. This role is a key leadership position within the CLD Market, responsible for expanding client relationships in the public/government sector, driving growth, managing projects, and enhancing T&M’s presence in the Northeast region. The position involves collaborating with clients, mentoring internal teams, and promoting T&M’s comprehensive services across various sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management in the civil, public sector.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-driven; able to manage priorities independently and collaboratively.
  • Documents indicating eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Project Manager overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle—from opportunity development and proposal preparation to execution, financial management, quality control, and closeout—while ensuring technical excellence, client satisfaction, and identification of future business opportunities.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients by providing strategic guidance and anticipating their evolving needs.
  • Represent T&M in the marketplace as a thought leader, building visibility through active engagement in civic, professional, and industry organizations.
  • Proactively identify clients’ upcoming needs and concerns, recommending appropriate services and solutions to support their goals.
  • Promote T&M’s capabilities across all business sectors, identifying opportunities for cross-selling services.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Client Manager staff, supporting their professional development and performance.
