Mott MacDonald is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer in our Westwood, MA office. Requirements

A degree in civil engineering
10-15 years’ bridge design and project management experience, including structural rehabilitation and replacement of highway and rail bridges
A Massachusetts PE required, reciprocity is acceptable
Management of people and projects
Effective communication through collaboration; written and oral

Nice To Haves

Experience with Massachusetts and/or Connecticut Department of Transportation standards and project procedures preferred.
Proficiency with Bentley Open Bridge is preferred; proficiency in Bentley Open Roads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Management of bridge projects.
Overseeing bridge design, contract document development, and technical writing.
Assisting in the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, studies, and designs for project.
Independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Leading meetings with clients and contractors with other members of the project team.
Reviewing various shop drawings and preparing preconstruction cost estimates for projects.
Working with the team to prepare proposals.
Financial management of projects, including updating internal financial system, invoice preparation and payment processing.
