About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to support its Water sector. This role involves concept-level planning, detailed engineering design, and preparation of construction specifications for municipal drainage and water/wastewater infrastructure projects. Project examples include condition assessments, rehabilitation and/or new construction of open channel and subsurface drainage collection systems, drainage pumping stations, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, and sanitary sewer lift stations. Key areas of focus include system hydraulic design, project layout, geometrics, survey control, grading and drainage design, and subsurface utility coordination and relocation.

Requirements

10 years or more of relevant experience
BS degree in Civil Engineering
PE License in Louisiana

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and related drainage/water systems design tools.
Client-facing experience and ability to develop contacts and relationships.
Ability to produce quality materials on schedule while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Leading a design team in the preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, design drawings, and contract specifications.
Using guidelines from federal, state, regional, and municipal agencies.
Overseeing the preparation of construction quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates.
Providing technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer, or technical advisor.
Navigating local and state permitting requirements to obtain regulatory approvals.
Supervising and supporting the work of others while mentoring junior level staff.
Working directly with clients to identify needs, develop solutions, and grow relationships with target clients.
