CTI is seeking a Civil Engineer who is experienced in Construction related activities with a focus in Quality Control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
  • 2-4 year's experience (required), preferably within the DOE or DOD sectors.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of engineering projects, reviewing plans to ensure compliance with DOE, DoD, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance during the engineering process, ensuring all project components function as intended.
  • Collaboration with QC/QA Representatives to support quality assurance and quality control efforts.
  • Support the identification and allocation of resources, including materials, equipment, and project staff, to meet project objectives.
  • Prepare project documentation, including technical reports, schedules, and progress updates, for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Verify and document that all materials/equipment received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately, and are acceptable for use in the project, check for damaged and defective materials and address.
  • Stop work, reject materials and/or equipment, and direct the removal and replacement of any work not in compliance with contract documents, applicable codes, building standards, and/or established principles of construction engineering, or activities which present life-threatening conditions or damage to the site.
  • Assess potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or disruptions during project execution.
  • Communicate and interact as a team member with all trades, manufacturers, suppliers, construction staff and customer representatives, in a professional manner.
