Requirements

• Five years of civil engineering experience and an Engineer-In-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
• One year of civil engineering experience in highway design, construction or maintenance related projects and a bachelor's degree with major course work in civil engineering
• Possession of a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities and confirm work meets approved plans, specifications, and contract requirements
• Apply engineering principles to review designs, recommend changes, and resolve technical challenges
• Direct inspection of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with established standards
• Collaborate with municipalities, utilities, contractors, and other groups to address project issues
• Prepare reports, work orders, estimates, and project records to track progress and compliance
• Plan, assign, and evaluate work of staff while supporting training and professional development
