About The Position

Robson Forensic is seeking a Professional Engineer (P.E.) with 10 or more years of hands-on Highway Construction Management experience and a broad understanding of highway/roadway construction and site safety. This role involves determining why incidents occurred, working alongside nationally respected experts on consequential casework. The position offers continuous learning and does not require prior forensic experience, as the company hires for deep industry knowledge and provides training. Approximately 20% of the role involves travel for training and inspections, with the remainder dedicated to analysis and report writing, working both independently and collaboratively within a firm of over 100 professionals managing a portfolio of 50-70 projects/clients.

Requirements

  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience (including DOT experience) in highway construction (excavation, paving, drainage, utilities, bridges and other structures, etc.).
  • Experience in traffic control and safety in highway work zones.
  • Experience in construction management, construction inspection, construction safety, means & methods, contracts, scheduling, estimating, subcontractor management, quality control, fieldwork analyses, and incident and claims investigations.
  • Thorough working knowledge of highway construction site procedures.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, objective evidence for non-technical audiences.
  • A clean background screen.
  • A driver’s license and the ability to drive.
