About The Position

Robson Forensic is seeking a Professional Engineer (P.E.) with 10 or more years of hands-on Highway Construction Management experience and a broad understanding of highway/roadway construction and site safety. This role involves determining why incidents occurred, working alongside nationally respected experts on consequential casework. The company provides training to develop forensic expertise, emphasizing deep industry knowledge. The work blends collaboration with autonomy in a firm with over 100 scientists, engineers, and other professionals, managing a portfolio of 50-70 projects/clients. Approximately 20% of the role involves travel for training and inspections, with the remainder dedicated to analysis and report writing.

Requirements

• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience (including DOT experience) in highway construction (excavation, paving, drainage, utilities, bridges and other structures, etc.), traffic control and safety in highway work zones, construction management, construction inspection, construction safety, means & methods, contracts, scheduling, estimating, subcontractor management, quality control, fieldwork analyses, and incident and claims investigations.
• Thorough working knowledge of highway construction site procedures.
• Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, objective evidence for non-technical audiences.
• A clean background screen.
• A driver’s license and the ability to drive.
