About The Position

Landform is seeking a Civil Engineer (EIT or 0-3 years of experience) for an on-site role in Minneapolis, MN. This position offers hands-on experience in land development, site design, and commercial project delivery, allowing early-career engineers to gain meaningful responsibility and a faster path to growth. The role involves working alongside planners, land surveyors, landscape architects, and senior engineers in a studio-based environment, contributing to retail and commercial land developments from concept through construction. The engineer will support projects from idea to completion, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle and collaborating across multiple disciplines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
0–3 years of experience (internships included)
Familiarity with AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)
Basic understanding of site design, grading, and construction documentation
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Strong interest in land development, site design, or civil infrastructure
Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA without current or future sponsorship.

Exposure to commercial site design or land development projects

Responsibilities

Support retail and commercial land development projects from concept through construction
Assist in preparing site plans, grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans
Perform stormwater calculations and basic modeling
Contribute to plan production using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (clients, municipalities, contractors)
Participate in site investigations, zoning research, and utility coordination
Take on increasing ownership of design components as your experience grows
