About The Position

HDR is hiring a Civil EIT to support civil/site engineering projects. The role assists senior engineers with site studies, site designs, contract documentation, and graphic presentations. Work includes site layout, grading, utility layout, drainage, routine engineering assignments, and project management administration. The Civil EIT completes projects with clear objectives and limited variables, works independently on small projects or assists more-senior engineers on larger projects, and performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to actively participating in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity and demonstrated experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk InfraWorks and Civil 3D.
• Experience with specialty civil platforms such as OpenFlows, as required.
• Two or more years of site civil experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation, and graphic presentation.
• Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage.
• Complete routine engineering assignments requiring standard techniques and procedures.
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects.
• Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
