About The Position

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days remote. The position involves working with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams to develop 3D models of civil grading and structures, producing civil drawing deliverables within CAD software. Responsibilities include developing civil layout drawings in a 3-D model, handling all phases of civil grading design (roads, ditches, drainage ponds, finish surfacing plans, permanent fencing plans), and investigating and solving civil design issues. The role requires interpreting and coordinating topographical data to plan and execute civil design deliverables, and participating in the coordination of detailed design phases for an integrated 2D/3D civil design model. Specific project aspects may include underground piping, building entryways, erosion control plans, traffic control plans, waterway barge unloading, and switchyard grading and drainage. The position also provides support to other designers and project team members across various business units to ensure complete and timely design.

Requirements

Three or more years of detailed design experience in the development of civil design drawings.
Proficiency with design software tools in executing 3D plant layout models.
Experience in the review of civil layout drawings for all phases of grading, regrading, and final grading.
Ability to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design process.
Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred.
CAD certificate required in non-degreed.
Previous relevant experience considered.
