About The Position

Kimley-Horn is looking for a CAD Operator to join our Traffic Operations team in Lake Nona, Florida (FL)! This is not a remote position. This role supports the transportation team through the production of traffic signal plans and related design documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads. The person in this position will use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for Kimley-Horn projects. Designing and producing sets of plans; implementing and managing AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards. Assists in maintaining drawing database. Performs routine analysis to check accuracy of data. Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products preferred.
