About The Position

Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced CAD Operator to join our Survey team in Houston, Texas (TX)! This role involves using AutoCAD Civil 3D software to produce detailed subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and other various survey related maps or exhibits. The position also requires research of boundary and easement title documents, performing boundary analysis, and utilizing field crew data, sketches, photos, and reference maps to create surveys. Additionally, the role includes preparing legal descriptions and exhibits for right of way, easements, and acquisition parcels, as well as coordinating work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control. Developing familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards is also part of the role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
• Ability to work independently and with a team

Responsibilities
