A Civil Crew Laborer assists in building each job as defined by the client’s scope of work and construction drawings under the direction of the Civil Crew Leader. This encompasses, but is not limited to, loading and unloading all job materials, maintaining all tools, trucks, and equipment used by the civil crew, understanding the scope of work and constructing the project per specifications in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Start at $22 - $27 per hour based on experience level
  • Travel to various job sites with weekends at home
  • On top of an hourly rate, we pay per diem for travel: $45/day on travel days, $60 for days in-between. $25 additional per day if two employees share a hotel room.
  • Employees use company vehicles with fuel provided.
  • Lodging is covered by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Excavating, forming, and pouring tower foundation spread footings.
  • Loading and unloading all tools and equipment.
  • Follow scope of work and construction drawings to completed projects.
  • Verify that all tools, equipment and stocked supplies on your trailer are available and in working order.
  • Attend daily tailgate meetings to address daily tasks and safety issues. Report any safety concerns to Civil Crew Leader.
  • Take pictures of final work and provide all documentation to Project Manager as needed.
  • Keep work site clean, organized, and free of trash.
  • Tie rebar mats and cages
  • Read laser level and grade sticks
  • Trenching and installing PVC conduit and ground rings.
  • Hand digging around utilities and shoveling/raking dirt and gravel.
  • Shovel and rake dirt and gravel.
  • Report any deviations from the scope of work or construction drawings to the Crew Leader.
  • Pick up the trash on site, daily.
  • Clean out truck(s) and trailer(s) after each job and put materials and equipment away.
  • Begin preparations for next job.
  • Other duties as assigned.
