About The Position

This is a pivotal leadership role at Teraflex, a rapidly growing civil and electrical contractor in Ottawa. The Civil Construction Foreman will own the performance of a crew, leading day-to-day execution of construction sites with precision and accountability. The role involves ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of work, aligning field execution with contract, budget, and client expectations. The foreman will also manage and mentor Lead Hands, develop high-performance expectations within the crew, and foster a culture of professionalism and pride in workmanship. Understanding and working within project budgets and constraints to deliver projects with predictable financial outcomes and strong margins is also a key aspect of the role. Teraflex is looking for results-driven leaders who can coordinate, plan, and direct civil construction as the company scales its execution and builds great teams.

Requirements

5+ years leading civil construction crews
Proven track record completing projects to a high degree of safety and quality
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Satisfactory background check.

Experience with trenching/excavating, duct banks, and pre-cast structure installation
