About The Position

STRUCTURAL is hiring Civil Concrete & Steel Repair Technicians to perform structural repair work in the Lake Charles, Louisiana area and surrounding Gulf Coast areas. The role is suited to skilled construction professionals with industrial plant, concrete, and/or welding experience. Work may include concrete repair, demolition, placement and finishing; formwork and carpentry; rebar replacement; concrete coatings; fireproofing; structural steel welding, iron work and rigging; equipment grouting; and heavy equipment operation. The position requires willingness to travel throughout the Gulf Coast area and to meet industrial plant access and safety requirements.

STRUCTURAL is the open-shop contracting business line of Structural Group and provides specialty repair and maintenance services. The company describes its culture as promoting 24/7 safety and quality and identifies itself as a drug-free workplace. Pre-employment drug testing is conducted and may include a hair follicle test.

Requirements

• Have a TWIC card or be willing to obtain one.
• Have industrial plant, concrete, rigging, and/or steel experience.
• Be able to wear a respirator.
• Be able to pass written or computerized industrial plant entrance testing.
• Be willing to travel throughout the Gulf Coast area.
• Have contractor experience, including self-performing, general contractor, or specialty contractor experience.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Basic/Basic Plus Safety Council Training.
• Turnaround or shutdown experience.

Responsibilities
