Under the direction of the City Attorney and Chief Prosecutor, serve as prosecuting attorney for the City in jury and bench trials and other court and administrative hearings. This role involves representing the City in criminal misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor cases, as well as related civil matters such as forfeitures or code enforcement. The position requires charging criminal cases, reviewing documents, preparing cases for trial, and negotiating resolutions. It also involves legal research, drafting ordinances and contracts, and providing legal counsel to City departments.
