About The Position

The Clinical Information System (CIS) Coordinator II supports implementation of system upgrades and assists with design and testing for clinical information system enhancements. The role builds collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, clinical department users, providers, Information Services, and other corporate departments to support the use and acceptance of clinical applications. The coordinator also leads a CIS project team or initiative at an individual health service organization. This position is onsite at Memorial Hospital in Alton.

Requirements

• Associate's degree.
• 2–5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Support end users and pursue improvements through training, process improvement, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Provide new and ongoing clinical application training, assess new users’ knowledge, and work with department management to provide additional education.
• Gather and interpret workflow and business requirements for impacted areas, highlight key workflow changes in training, participate in BJC CIS teams and projects, and assist with workflow mapping.
• Review, test, and implement system enhancements and upgrades; help clinical end users understand technical components; lead a CIS team or project; and collaborate with IT partners on upgrades and targeted testing requirements.
• Provide daily clinician support by reviewing clinical reports, audits, and downtime procedures and troubleshooting issues.
• Communicate clinical application changes and upgrades to hospitals and help develop targeted communications for end users and CIS.
