This position involves assisting with the public service desk at the Pollak Library. Responsibilities include guiding patrons in the use of research tools like the library's online catalog and databases, learning and utilizing the library's call number system, shelving books, maintaining the stacks (cleaning, dusting, shifting, reorganizing), processing library materials for Course Reserves, and helping with digitization projects. The role also includes referring patrons to appropriate service desks and departments, checking in/out books, and renewing materials via various methods. A willingness to learn and perform other assigned duties is essential.
