This is a critical prevention-focused position responsible for the integration of the broad spectrum of community resources, supporting circuit operations related to youth and families in need of services. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Florida child welfare, particularly in the continuum of ongoing service delivery. The role will also apply change management strategies to promote a culture of innovation and collaboration with internal and external partners. Serves as the Department’s primary point within the Circuit to develop and maintain community partnerships with key community stakeholders, faith-based organizations, and private sector businesses. Promotes traditional and non-traditional partnership approaches designed to integrate services and maximize service resources and service impact within the community. Serves as the Department’s lead in the Circuit for convening stakeholders such as the Agency for Healthcare Administration, Children’s Medical Services, the Community Based Care Lead Agency, Children’s Legal Services, Child Protective Investigations staff, Guardian ad Litem, local health care networks, and the SAMH Managing Entity to develop and implement initiatives and protocols that fully integrate trauma treatment, substance abuse, behavioral, and mental health services into the service delivery system for all youth and families served. Serves as the Department's subject matter expert in the circuit's local review team staffing and/or other community level staffing as needed. This position works collaboratively with internal program areas, Community Based Care Lead Agencies, and other state agencies such as DJJ and APD to assist in ensuring youth are connected to the appropriate level of intervention within the least restrictive environment. Assist in the review and resolution of constituent concerns at the direction of the Community Director. Serves as the point of contact for all Child Abuse Prevention activities within the circuit. Assist with data entry and capture on key metrics related to the youth and families served at all levels. Serve as the circuit point of contact for reviewing and assisting with the execution of Memorandums of Understanding with community partners and stakeholder groups when appropriate at the discretion of leadership. At the request of the Director of Community & Family Partnerships, Director of Partnerships & Prevention and/or Executive Leadership conducts specialized case reviews on high-profile or high needs cases, identifying case-specific, service-specific, and systemic challenges that must be addressed to drive meaningful change. Conducts local staffing data analysis to determine trends and potential gaps in services. Works with contracted and community partners to develop strategies to improve system of care needs. Serves as the circuit point of contact for Master Trust requests to ensure compliance with policy, and approval as appropriate. Serves as the circuit point of contact for the coordination of pre- and post- disaster response in conjunction with local, state and federal related disaster agencies. Ability to travel on short notice to disaster impacted areas within Florida required. Attends public relations events and functions. Represents the Department on Circuit-based community and stakeholder task forces, committees and board meetings. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
