The CIP Operator is responsible for maintaining sanitary equipment and the environment for the production of food products. This role involves operating, monitoring, and understanding CIP (Clean-In-Place) and COP (Clean-Out-of-Place) systems, as well as manually and hand cleaning valve and equipment parts. The operator will also be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in the CIP room, performing preventative maintenance on valve and pump equipment, and maintaining accurate written HACCP reports and preventative maintenance checklists. Additionally, the role requires organizing personal needs around business objectives to meet deadlines and coordinating with the Parts department to ensure adequate supplies of valve and pump equipment. The position requires a good understanding of sanitation practices and principles, including manual and automated cleaning, and the ability to work effectively in a team and independently. A demonstrated mechanical aptitude, the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, lift 50 pounds, and climb ladders are essential. The role also involves learning the manufacturing process, including process flows, dairy sciences, regulatory requirements, equipment, and control operations. Proficiency in reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics is necessary. The position requires flexibility in workdays and hours, basic mechanical, computer, reading, and math skills, and good written and verbal communication. The ability to solve problems with minimal supervision and operate powered industrial equipment like forklifts and scissor lifts is also required.
