The CIP Operator provides effective and consistent service of factory equipment to support short- and long-term production and cost targets. The role manages and maintains processes, equipment, and systems to ensure equipment availability, responsive and accurate handling of maintenance needs, and production of products to the required quality and specifications, while covering all aspects of food safety. The operator develops a clear understanding of the factory, its products, and its machinery. The position works in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with other employees, including wet and/or humid areas, high-noise areas, and areas around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. Parts of the facility may be cold or refrigerated, requiring cold-protective PPE and potentially extended periods of standing, lifting, and walking in refrigerated zones. Work includes prolonged standing, repetitive tasks and hand and arm movements, and frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. Employees must follow food-safety hygiene and safety requirements, including wearing protective gear such as gloves and hairnets, and collaborate with coworkers to support production and packaging.
