About The Position

This internship focuses on performing quantitative and qualitative analysis for investment opportunities in junior capital, equity co-investment, and primary funds. Interns will assist in preparing investment recommendations, monitoring existing portfolio investments, and participating in due diligence meetings. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities within a fast-paced team environment.

Requirements

  • Preferred candidate will be a rising Junior or rising Senior (Class of 2028 or 2029) expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Computational Finance, Economics, Accounting or other quantitively focused curriculum
  • Strong attention to detail; careful review of facts and figures, quick to identify errors, ensure consistency of information
  • Superior Excel and financial modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Knowledge of the middle market levered lending market, customers and competitors strongly preferred
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and convey complex business and marketing concepts, effective and strong active listening skills
  • Proven track record of success collaborating in a fast-paced, results driven team environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to negotiate, influence and gain credibility
  • Innovative and creative thinker; ability to make connections among previously unrelated notions, ability to project how potential ideas may play out

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to underwrite investment opportunities across junior capital, equity co-investment, and primary funds.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal memoranda and other materials used to support investment recommendations and to communicate with internal constituents.
  • Assist with monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments.
  • Participate in due diligence meetings with sponsors and portfolio company executives.
