About The Position

The Maintenance & Custodial Team Members help steward the physical spaces of Mercy Culture Church with excellence, care, and a servant’s heart.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic with a servant-hearted attitude
• Detail-oriented and efficient in task execution
• Ability to lead well, lead up, and work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
• Team-building and leadership development skills
• Sound judgment and a high level of personal integrity
• Ability to manage tasks independently while remaining flexible to ministry needs
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach overhead
• Ability to safely operate basic custodial and maintenance equipment
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and manual labor as required
• Must be an active member in good standing or become a member upon hire.
• Must agree and abide by the beliefs and Leadership Standards of the church.

Responsibilities

• Steward executive and general office spaces with excellence and attention to detail
• Perform custodial and routine maintenance tasks
• Support painting projects and minor facility improvements
• Respond to and assist with maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Uphold Mercy Culture’s values, culture, and leadership expectations in all work
• Participate in weekly staff and prayer meetings to stay connected, spiritually engaged, and aligned with the heart, culture, and direction of the church.
