About The Position

The Christmas Tree Associate assists customers with selecting and purchasing Christmas trees, wreaths, and other holiday greenery, shares care tips, and prepares products for safe transport. The role includes loading customer carts or vehicles, maintaining a clean, organized, stocked, and clearly signed nursery sales area, and prioritizing customer assistance. Depending on assignment, the associate may operate the register, help make holiday wreaths, or receive, unload, and inspect deliveries. Associates work collaboratively across the nursery and provide friendly, knowledgeable service consistent with Adams’ customer-service culture and values. The position is temporary and seasonal, with a flexible schedule. Work takes place in the nursery, including colder weather conditions, and requires remaining in a stationary position for the duration of a shift as well as handling and securing products for customers.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Provide excellent customer service to customers and their families.
Have knowledge of Christmas trees, wreaths, and other products on the nursery and polyhouse sales floor.
Ability to operate Adams’ point-of-sale systems.
Willingness to collaborate and communicate with coworkers and managers.
Demonstrate enthusiasm, positivity, and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality.
Demonstrate and set an example for Adams’ culture and values.
Tie or secure Christmas trees or other products to customers’ vehicles.
Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50–80 pounds.
Work in colder weather conditions for the duration of a shift.
Remain in a stationary position for the duration of a shift.
Occasionally ascend or descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder.
Perform repetitive motions that may involve the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for the duration of a shift.
Communicate with others to exchange information.

Responsibilities

Help customers purchase, prepare, and load Christmas trees, wreaths, and other holiday greenery.
Load customer carts or vehicles and handle products safely.
Greet shoppers, offer knowledgeable assistance, and thank customers for visiting Adams.
Keep nursery areas clean, organized, stocked, and properly signed.
Prioritize helping customers over other tasks to provide prompt service.
Operate the register and handle transactions accurately when assigned.
Assist with holiday wreath making when assigned.
Receive, unload, and inspect delivery materials when assigned.
Work collaboratively with the team across nursery areas.
