About The Position

Adams prioritizes creating a warm and welcoming environment for both customers and team members, emphasizing genuine respect, kindness, and appreciation. The Nursery Christmas Tree Associate will assist customers in selecting the perfect tree, wreath, or seasonal greenery, provide care tips, and safely prepare items for transport. This role also involves maintaining an organized and festive sales area, keeping products well-stocked and displayed, and ensuring a cheerful, efficient, and memorable holiday shopping experience for customers.

Requirements

Excellent customer service to all customers and their families
Knowledge on all Christmas trees, wreaths and other products on the nursery and polyhouse sales floor
Ability to operate Adams’ point of sale systems
Willingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers
Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality
Ability to demonstrate and set the example for Adams’ culture and values
Must be at least 18 years old
Tie and/or secure Christmas trees or other products to customers` vehicles
Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50-80 pounds
Keep nursery areas clean and organized for ease of access for all customers and other employees
Able to work in colder weather conditions and temperatures for the duration of your shift
Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of shift
Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
Communicate with others to exchange information

Responsibilities

Help customers purchase, prepare, and load Christmas trees, wreaths, and other holiday greenery.
Load carts or vehicles for customers and ensure safe handling of products.
Provide the best customer service by greeting shoppers, offering knowledgeable assistance, and thanking them for visiting Adams.
Keep all areas of the nursery yard clean, organized, and fully stocked with correct signage.
Give priority to assisting customers over other tasks to ensure prompt service.
If assigned, operate the register and handle transactions accurately.
If assigned, assist with holiday wreath making or receive, unload, and inspect materials from deliveries.
Work effectively as part of a cohesive team across all areas of the nursery.
