About The Position

Assist in coordinating the operation of all Special Events or Leisure Experience activities such as ICE!, Best of Florida Christmas, and SummerFest. This role involves checking the status of operations, lighting, AV, cleanliness, and system operation, and correcting any aesthetic deficiencies. The coordinator will follow training guidelines to support the direction of Special Events Manager and Assistant Managers, and monitor and assist with training for all Special Events employees. Learning and operating software systems used in events (ticketing, retail, inventory, space usage, etc.) is also a key responsibility, as is resolving financial, inventory, and numeric discrepancies. The position requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and upholding confidentiality of proprietary information are essential. The role involves welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guest needs, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is necessary, as is developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals. Compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards, and identifying new ideas to increase organizational efficiency are also part of the role. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties may be requested.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
