The coordinator plans, schedules, and assigns work, instructs on proper methods, and checks work for accuracy and compliance with Salvation Army policies. They maintain contact with staff and volunteers, answer questions, and recognize their contributions. Additionally, this role involves preparing and maintaining records and databases for kettle income, preparing reports on the kettle program's status, and providing documentation of hours worked. Special events are planned and coordinated, including preparing recognition items and maintaining event records. The coordinator also meets with community leaders to discuss Salvation Army needs, drives Salvation Army vehicles to deliver and collect kettles and supplies, and assists with counting, recording, and depositing kettle funds.
