About The Position

The Christmas Kettle Coordinator helps with Thanksgiving and Christmas efforts. The role coordinates kettle workers and volunteers, kettle logistics and equipment, and supports collection and deposit of kettle income. The coordinator also assists with other holiday activities, including toy and food pickups, warehouse work, and Thanksgiving and Christmas distributions. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• California driver’s license.
• Great communication skills.
• Ability to lead.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to assist people entering or exiting passenger vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Must understand that The Salvation Army has a religious purpose and agree that work-related conduct will not conflict with, interfere with, or undermine its religious programs or purposes.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate kettle workers and volunteers.
• Coordinate drop-off and pickup of kettles.
• Input kettle and kettle worker data.
• Ensure proper placement of kettle stands.
• Track distribution and collection of kettle equipment.
• Maintain and properly deploy TipTap equipment.
• Assist in counting and depositing kettle income.
• Assist in coordinating with store managers to address issues or concerns.
• Attend and assist with Kettle Kick Off.
• Assist in recruiting volunteers and workers.
• Assist with picking up toys at various locations.
• Assist with food pickups as needed.
• Assist at the Toy and Food Warehouse.
• Assist with Thanksgiving Food Box distribution.
• Assist with Christmas Toy and Food distribution.
• Perform other related duties as required.
