About The Position

The Christmas Driver delivers and picks up bell ringers and kettles at assigned locations on a timely basis. The role may also assist with other seasonal driving responsibilities. The driver maintains assigned vehicles, keeps maintenance and mileage logs, and communicates problems or vehicle safety and maintenance needs to a supervisor.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license with a chauffeur's endorsement and maintain it.
• Pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle (MVR) check.
• Complete Safe From Harm training and keep it current as needed.
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and basic computer knowledge.
• Have a high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; a diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up bell ringers and kettles along an assigned route.
• Maintain vehicles by cleaning and preparing them for the next use.
• Keep accurate vehicle maintenance and mileage logs and report safety or maintenance needs.
• Communicate any problems to a supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including other seasonal driving responsibilities.
