About The Position

The Christmas Driver transports bell ringers to and from designated kettle worksites and drives vans or non-DOT trucks to collect and deliver Christmas Angel Tree donations and gifts. The role includes planning pickups along direct routes, keeping the vehicle and donations safe and accountable, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. The driver may also assist with janitorial and general cleanup, traffic routing during Angel Tree distribution, and setting up and taking down Christmas displays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of driving experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Transport bell ringers to kettle worksites and pick them up from designated worksites for return to Corps or Area Command locations.
• Drive vans or non-DOT trucks to collect gifts and transport them to the Christmas warehouse or Corps; organize pickups along the most direct route and arrive according to schedule.
• Collect gifts, stockings, and other items from homes, agencies, churches, and other designated locations for delivery to the Corps.
• Drive to and from drive-through or drop-off events at malls or other assigned locations.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the truck or van inside and outside.
• Assist with janitorial and general cleanup work at the Corps, warehouse facility, or assigned location as needed.
• Assist with traffic routing at Corps or Area Command warehouse locations during Christmas Angel Tree distribution when necessary.
• Set up trees, tables, and stands for Christmas displays and disassemble them at the end of the Christmas season.
• Ensure the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.
