About The Position

Provide transportation and coordination for kettle season. This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors, and clients; respect for others’ property and person; and professional and appropriate communication to and about clients, co-workers, and supervisors.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s license/MVR clearance.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others.
A leader who uses diplomacy and good judgment in working with others.
Demonstrated ability to use initiative and be a self-starter.
An attention to detail.
A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in light of changing job situations/priorities.
Ability to handle money responsibly.
Support the mission and ministry of The Salvation Army.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Transport kettles, lock them on the kettle stands at the beginning of the kettle day.
Pick up kettles at the end of the kettle day.
Safely return kettles within route time allowed to the Salvation Army in Englewood
Drive Salvation Army owned vehicles only.
Allow bell ringers to finish ringing before removing the kettles.
Coordinate with Program Assistant & Corps Officers on all kettle and equipment problems that should be addressed.
Keep monies secure at all times.
Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with bell ringers and store employees.
Follow assigned weekly driving schedules. Flexibility in shift hours is required, as schedules may change weekly
Other duties as assigned.
