About The Position

Seeking dynamic dancers with great physicality and expertise in multiple dance styles for a limited engagement Christmas Show. Applicants must be available for all rehearsal and performance dates. This role involves performing 3-5 shows nightly for listed dates, with up to 40 hours per week, including special functions and rehearsals. The position also requires maintaining Busch Gardens cleanliness standards, providing and maintaining specific instruments in working condition and appearance, and performing all other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be available for all rehearsal and performance dates
• Strong performance skills and the ability to perform multiple styles of dance to include: Jazz, contemporary, ballet, tumbling, partnering
• Must be able to perform with various props and special effects
• Outgoing and friendly personality- versatile and ability to improvise
• Outstanding performance and showmanship while performing set musical and dance selections.
• High School graduate- must be 18 years to audition
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights (if needed/required)
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying Florida weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain specific instrument including working condition and appearance
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Learn and retain multiple styles of dance choreography and blocking
• Professionally accept and implement critiques and notes from Leadership Team
• Communicate professionally and effectively with ambassadors and guests
• Perform all cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
