About The Position

Christmas Camp volunteers are needed to help prepare for the program starting December 17th. Responsibilities include snow shoveling, preparing sled runs and the ice skating rink, making beds, preparing for program activities, and decorating the lodge. Volunteers will have December 20th off to enjoy activities like skiing or relaxing. From December 21st to December 27th, volunteers will lead program activities such as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, arts and crafts, and assist with Kids' Camp (ages 0-9) and the 10-14 age group. Volunteers will also help with clearing dishes and maintaining the lodge. Each volunteer will serve for half the program time and participate as a guest for the other half, with everyone supporting dinners and evening programs. Volunteers will assist with closing down camp after guests depart on December 27th, leaving on December 27th or 28th.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the program by shoveling snow, prepping sled runs and the ice skating rink, making beds, and preparing for program activities.
• Transform the lodge into a mountain Christmas getaway.
• Lead program activities like cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
• Inspire creativity during arts and crafts.
• Shepherd the little ones (ages 0-9) during Kids’ Camp.
• Facilitate activities for the 10-14 age group.
• Clear dishes.
• Keep the lodge tidy and welcoming.
• Support dinners and evening programs.
• Help close down camp after guests depart.
