About The Position

Help create Christmas magic for local families by supporting the behind-the-scenes efforts that make holiday assistance possible. This seasonal position supports The Salvation Army’s Christmas operations and community assistance efforts. The assignment runs from November 9 through December 15. The role requires working weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed throughout the Christmas season, and helping wherever needed to ensure a joyful and memorable holiday season for the people served.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and team management skills.
• Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.
• Reliable and able to work well with a team.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License.
• Experience driving a box truck.

Responsibilities

• Support holiday operations by working weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed throughout the Christmas season.
• Assist with donation pickups from local collection sites.
• Organize and sort donated gifts and packages.
• Serve as a bell ringer when needed.
• Unload deliveries of holiday donations and gifts.
• Sort toys for distribution to children and families.
• Label gift bags and prepare items for distribution.
• Help set up, decorate, and break down the toy warehouse.
• Assist with toy distribution and help families receive their Christmas gifts.
• Provide other seasonal assistance as needed.
