About The Position

The selected individual will provide piano accompaniment for the Chapel Choir during Sunday morning services, Christmas Concerts, and other assigned services. The Choral Arts Director will be the primary point of contact for the pianist.

Requirements

• Advanced piano proficiency
• Ability to sight read
• Ability to work and respond with a positive attitude under pressure
• Collaborative and flexible
• Quickly and easily learn new musical selections
• Prior experience in choral accompanying – can follow the director (tempo, dynamics, etc.)
• Open score reading

Responsibilities

• Accompany the choir at rehearsals
• Weekly rehearsal on Thursdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm (September-May)
• Monthly rehearsal on Saturdays from 9am - noon (October 3, November 7, and December 5, 2026)
• Accompany the choir Sunday mornings (September-May) 8:30am call time to rehearse before our 9am service.
• During Advent, the choir also sings during the 11am service.
• Accompany the choir for our Christmas Concerts 2026 Friday, December 11 (7pm), Saturday, December 12 (1pm and 5pm), Sunday, December 13 (3pm)
